Christmas

We got our wake up call from Cody this morning at 6:30. It went something like this...
"Get up! Get up! Get up! Santa was here! Santa was here! Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!"

What followed was a frenzy of stocking and present opening, sprinkled with a few minutes for playing with each new thing in between. Both kids enjoyed opening their gifts and loved each and every one. (Good work Santa!)
After all gifts were opened and all garbage cleaned up (I can't help my garbage removal compulsions) we had a fabulous breakfast of Christmas Eggs (a tradition, and recipe, that I grew to love while living at the Williams' house after high school). And now, it is with both joy and exhaustion that they, and we, are getting ready to settle down for a "long winter's nap."
