This morning while we were at the park Cody collected a bouquet of dandelions. He handed them to me and said sweetly, " I got these for you because you're such a good mommy." Then he hugged me and kissed me and walked away to go play in the sandbox.
I am posting this story for two reasons: 1) because it was just so innocent and sweet, and 2) because someday I'll need to prove to both Cody and myself that there indeed was a day when I was the object of his affection. I'm going to soak it all up while I still can!
I know exactly what you mean. I always ask Andon for a kiss because he is happy to do it now, but I know in the not so distant future, he will be uninterested.
